Add the OCPP Remote Electric vehicle charging station

This article describes the configuration of an OCPP Remote electric vehicle charging station on the Climkit platform.

For connection planning, or for site equipment installation, refer to the links at the end of the article.

Registration of an OCPP Remote charging station

When no Climkit Gateway is installed, a station can be connected directly to the portal via the OCPP remote server.

This configuration is mandatory for Easee or Zaptec stations, which cannot be connected locally to a Climkit Gateway.

This configuration allows for:

  • User authentication via RFID badges
  • Consumption billing

It does not allow for dynamic load management (DLM), which absolutely requires a Climkit Gateway.

Station configuration

Enter the Climkit OCPP Remote server URL in the station settings:

ws://ocpp.climkit.io:9000

For Easee, simply select Climkit as the operator.

Adding the station to the platform

  1. Create a Gateway of type ocpp-remote
  2. Create the station by entering its OCPP identifier
  3. Link the station to the ocpp-remote Gateway
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for other stations.
