Installing charging stations
This article describes the on-site installation of electric vehicle charging stations. Configuration on the Climkit platform is also required for these devices to function. Links are available at the end of the document.
1. Charging Station Preparation
Climkit provides the ABB Terra AC 22kW charging station.
In order for the charging station to connect immediately to the Climkit platform, it is delivered preconfigured, including:
- Connection mode (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
- Preconfigured SSID and password
- Climkit Gateway IP address
Always refer to the charging station manufacturer's instructions.
2. Installation
- Install and connect the charging station according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Connect the power supply via an RCD 3P+N Type A (electrical installer). Type B or EV circuit breakers are not required.
- The ABB Terra AC 22 kW charging stations can be connected at 32A, 25A, 16A, or 10A. In practice, 16A is sufficient for most vehicles.
- The charging station connects to the IT network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi; if you plan to connect it to the IP network via a wired connection, connect the RJ45 port on the charging station to the router.
The charging station can be installed on a single or double pedestal (two charging stations back-to-back).
