Install the charging stations
This article describes the on-site installation of Electric vehicle charging stations. For this equipment to function, a configuration on the Climkit platform is also necessary. Links are available at the end of the document.
1. Preparation of the charging station
Climkit provides the ABB Terra AC 22kW charging station.
To ensure the charging station connects immediately to the Climkit platform, it is delivered preconfigured, including:
- Connection mode (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)
- Preconfigured SSID and password
- Climkit Gateway IP address
Always refer to the manufacturer's instructions for the charging stations.
2. Installation
- Install and connect the charging station according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Connect the power supply via a 3P+N Type A RCD circuit breaker (electrical installer). Type B or EV circuit breakers are not necessary.
- ABB Terra AC 22 kW charging stations can be connected at 32A, 25A, 16A or 10A. In practice, 16A is sufficient for the majority of vehicles.
- The charging station is connected to the computer network via Ethernet or Wi-Fi; if it is intended to be connected to the IP network via cable, connect the RJ45 port of the charging station to the router.
The charging station can be installed on a single or double metal pedestal (two charging stations back to back).
