Installer getting started guide (read first)

Jean-Nicolas Turlier Updated by Jean-Nicolas Turlier

This guide is intended for installers who integrate Climkit solutions into their projects, from the preparation phase through to commissioning.

It serves as a support for both simple and complex installations, helping to identify key points, structure planning, and secure every step.

The content covers the principles of the various Climkit solutions, the information to collect on site, configuration procedures on the platform, on-site equipment installation, as well as checks to perform during commissioning.

This approach ensures compliant installation, reliable equipment communication, and controlled commissioning.

Equipment planning and installation

The installer is responsible for site planning and equipment installation on behalf of their client, the owner. Once the work is completed, the owner appoints Climkit as manager of the energy installation.

Climkit supports the installer throughout the project to define solutions tailored to the site and the owner's needs, validate certain technical choices when necessary, and ensure proper equipment setup.

This approach establishes a clear framework from the start while maintaining the necessary flexibility to adapt to the specific constraints of each installation.

Complete installer guide

This article introduces the documentation for Climkit installers, organized by project stage.

It is not necessary to read articles concerning solutions not planned for the site. However, for each selected solution, the entire corresponding journey must be followed, from planning to on-site installation.

If you have any questions during planning or installation, Climkit teams can provide technical support and validate specific points before commissioning.

1. Project preparation
2. Platform configuration
3. On-site equipment installation
4. Verification and testing

The fictional project Le Chemin des Sourires illustrates the implementation of a Climkit system in a residential building.

Technical setup validation

After on-site installation and technical commissioning of the equipment, Climkit performs a remote technical setup validation before starting the administrative setup.

The installer notifies Climkit by email at service@climkit.io when the installation is complete and the configured equipment is properly connected and transmitting data.

A Climkit support agent then verifies the site configuration and the proper operation of the equipment remotely.

If corrections are needed, Climkit contacts the installer and indicates the adjustments to be made before validation.

Once technical setup validation is complete:

  1. The label supplied with the order, bearing the mention "Warning - metering system in service", must be visibly affixed to the electrical panel.
  2. The site can proceed to the administrative setup step.

Administrative setup and operation

After the installation and technical setup validation of the equipment, the installer forwards the owner's contact information to Climkit. Climkit then assists the owner or their building manager with the administrative setup of the site: entering consumer contact details, defining billing rates, and establishing management terms.

Once these elements are defined, a management contract is established. Climkit offers a complete billing management service on behalf of the owner, ensuring precise individualization of consumption (electricity, heating, laundry, charging stations, etc.).

This centralized management ensures streamlined and transparent operation for all stakeholders.
