Installer's getting started guide (read first)

Jean-Nicolas Turlier Updated by Jean-Nicolas Turlier

This guide is intended for installers integrating Climkit solutions into their projects, from the preparation phase to commissioning.

It serves as support for both simple and complex installations, helping to identify key points, structure planning, and secure each step.

The content covers the principles of the different Climkit solutions, the information to be collected on-site, the configuration procedures on the Platform, the installation of Equipment on-site, as well as the checks to be carried out during commissioning.

This approach ensures compliant installation, reliable equipment communication, and controlled commissioning.

Planning and installation of equipment

The installer is responsible for site planning and the installation of Equipment on behalf of their client, the Owner. Once the work is completed, the latter mandates Climkit as the manager of the energy installation.

Climkit supports the installer throughout the project to define solutions adapted to the Site and the needs of the Owner, to validate certain technical choices when necessary, and to ensure the correct setup of equipment.

This approach establishes a clear framework from the start while maintaining the necessary flexibility to adapt to the specific constraints of each installation.

Complete installer guide

This article introduces the documentation for Climkit installers, organized by project stage.

It is not necessary to read articles concerning solutions not planned for the Site. However, for each selected solution, the entire corresponding path must be followed, from planning to on-site installation.

In case of questions during planning or installation, Climkit teams can provide technical support and validate certain points before commissioning.

1. Project preparation
2. Configuration on the platform
3. On-site equipment installation
4. Verification and tests

The fictional project Le Chemin des Sourires illustrates the implementation of a Climkit system in a residential building.

Technical validation of the installation

After on-site installation and technical commissioning of the Equipment, Climkit performs a remote Technical setup validation before administrative commissioning begins.

The installer informs Climkit by email at service@climkit.io when the installation is complete and the configured equipment is correctly connected and transmitting its data.

A Climkit agent then verifies the site configuration and the proper remote functioning of the equipment.

If corrections are needed, Climkit contacts the installer and indicates the adjustments to be made before validation.

Once the Technical setup validation is complete:

  1. The label provided with the order, stating "Attention - metering system in service", must be visibly affixed to the electrical panel.
  2. The site can proceed to the administrative commissioning step.

Administrative commissioning and operation

After installation and Technical setup validation of the equipment, the installer transmits the Owner's contact information to Climkit. Climkit then supports the Owner or their building manager in the administrative commissioning of the Site: entering consumer details, defining consumption billing rates, and management procedures.

Once these elements are defined, a management contract is established. Climkit offers a complete consumer billing management service on behalf of the Owner, ensuring precise individualization of consumption (electricity, heating, laundry, charging stations, etc.).

This centralized management ensures simplified and transparent operation for all Stakeholders.
