Process for setting up a Climkit site

Once the needs have been defined, send a quote request to info@climkit.io.

In order to avoid additional costs later on, it is important to identify all necessary elements upfront according to the needs of the Site and the Owner, in particular:

  • the management solutions to be implemented,
  • the number and type of Electricity meters,
  • the planned Internet connection method.

If in doubt about the configuration to adopt or compatibility with an existing Site, an early exchange with Climkit allows for the validation of the planned connection scheme for the Site and avoids subsequent adjustments.

Structure of the Climkit quote

The quote for a new Climkit Site is divided by category and type of Product:

  • Gateway and connectivity
  • Electricity management
  • Electric vehicle charging station management
  • Thermal energy and water management
  • Collective laundry management
  • Electric bike charging management
Types of products
  • Technical Equipment: devices to be installed on Site, such as the Climkit Gateway, Meters, or Charging stations.
  • Software features: functions activated on the Gateway and billed only according to the ordered Solutions.
  • Supply and commissioning: services related to Hardware preparation, technical coordination during installation, and commissioning.

It is recommended to consult the schematic diagrams for each planned Solution to define the exact needs before validating the quote.

Place an order

It is possible to place an order directly from the Platform after creating a new Site. Even in this case, a confirmation request is sent to the requester before the Equipment is shipped.

  1. Check the quote to ensure it matches the defined needs.
  2. Have the planned connection scheme for the Site validated by Climkit if necessary.
  3. Validate the quote and specify the delivery address if it differs from the Billing address.

The Hardware is then delivered within 5 working days.

Add equipment to the platform

Upon receipt of the Hardware, it is recommended to create the Site on the Platform and add the Equipment.

This preparation will facilitate commissioning by allowing you to directly check communication between the Equipment and the Platform after their installation on Site.

Install equipment on site

  1. Install the Equipment in accordance with what was planned during planning, following Climkit's instructions and manufacturers' requirements.
  2. Check on the Platform that the Equipment is communicating.
  3. Inform Climkit that the installation is complete to validate the Technical equipment setup.
  4. Provide the Site Owner's contact details to Climkit for the Administrative setup.

Responsibilities of the installer

The Installer or the person installing the Equipment is responsible for the following:

  • Planning the installation based on the Owner's specific needs, including all necessary Products and Equipment
  • Setting up a functional Internet connection or installing a Climkit 4G Router with mandatory verification of the 4G signal quality if applicable
  • Creation of the Site and adding Equipment to the Platform
  • Installation and configuration of Equipment in accordance with manufacturers' requirements and Climkit's instructions.
  • Commissioning of the Equipment in accordance with Climkit requirements
  • Labeling and Assignment of Meters and other Equipment on the Platform to avoid any errors during the preparation of Expense statements and billing
  • Verification of communication between Meters and Equipment and the Platform
  • Announcing the commissioning to Climkit to allow for verification and validation
  • Providing Climkit with the Owner's full contact details for the Administrative setup and drafting of the Management contract

Climkit Support

Climkit is available throughout the project to answer technical questions, validate certain choices, or assist with commissioning if necessary. This progressive coordination secures the installation process and limits late-project adjustments.

Once the installation is complete and validated, Climkit handles the Administrative setup with the Owner, and then the Site enters the Operational phase.
