Process for setting up a Climkit site

Requesting a Quote

Once the requirements are defined, submit a request for a quote to info@climkit.io.

To avoid subsequent additional costs, it is important to identify all necessary elements beforehand according to the site and owner requirements, notably:

  • the management solutions to be implemented,
  • the number and type of electricity meters,
  • the planned internet connection method.

If in doubt regarding the configuration to retain or compatibility with an existing site, an upfront discussion with Climkit allows for validating the planned connection diagram for the site and avoiding later adjustments.

Climkit Quote Structure

The offer for a new Climkit site is divided by product category and type:

Categories
  • Gateway and connectivity
  • Electricity management
  • Electric vehicle charging station management
  • Thermal energy and water management
  • Collective laundry management
  • Electric bike charging management
Product Types
  • Technical Equipment: devices to be installed on site, such as the Climkit Gateway, meters, or charging stations.
  • Software functionalities: functions activated on the Gateway and billed only according to the ordered solutions.
  • Supply and commissioning: services related to equipment preparation, technical coordination during installation, and commissioning.

It is recommended to consult the principle diagrams for each solution considered to define the exact requirements before validating the quote.

Placing an Order

It is possible to place an order directly from the Platform after creating a new site. Even in this case, a confirmation request is sent to the requester before equipment shipment.

  1. Verify the quote to ensure it matches the defined requirements.
  2. Have the planned connection diagram for the site validated by Climkit, if necessary.
  3. Validate the quote and specify the delivery address if it differs from the billing address.

The hardware is then delivered within 5 business days.

Adding Equipment to the Platform

Upon receipt of the hardware, it is recommended to create the site on the Platform and add the equipment there.

This preparation will facilitate commissioning by allowing direct verification of communication between the equipment and the Platform after installation on site.

Installing Equipment on Site

  1. Install the equipment according to what was planned during the planning phase, following Climkit instructions and manufacturer specifications.
  2. Verify on the Platform that the equipment is communicating.
  3. Inform Climkit that the installation is complete to validate the technical setup.
  4. Transmit the site owner's contact details to Climkit for administrative setup.

Installer Responsibilities

The installer or the party installing the equipment is responsible for the following:

  • Installation planning based on the owner's specific requirements, anticipating all necessary products and equipment.
  • Setting up a functional internet connection or installing a Climkit 4G router with mandatory verification of 4G signal quality, if applicable.
  • Site creation and equipment addition to the Platform.
  • Equipment installation and configuration in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Climkit instructions.
  • Equipment commissioning in accordance with Climkit specifications.
  • Labeling and assignment of meters and other equipment on the Platform to avoid any errors during the preparation of statements and billing.
  • Verification of communication between meters/equipment and the Platform.
  • Notification to Climkit of commissioning to allow for verification and validation.
  • Transmission of the owner's complete contact details to Climkit for administrative setup and drafting the management contract.

Climkit Support

Climkit is available throughout the project to answer technical questions, validate certain choices, or assist with commissioning if necessary. This progressive coordination secures the installation process and limits adjustments at the end of the project.

Once the installation is complete and validated, Climkit handles the administrative setup with the owner, and then the site enters operation.
