Install a 4G Router

This article describes the on-site installation of the 4G Router. Configuration on the Climkit platform is also required for the equipment to function. Links are provided at the end of the document.

On-site Router Installation

  1. Connect the antenna to the MOBILE connector of the router.
  2. Connect the router's power cable to the 24V AC/DC power supply and plug the black square connector into the POWER port of the device.
  3. After a few minutes, the router has finished booting up and four LEDs indicate the 4G signal strength. If no signal is captured, the LEDs will blink. They must indicate 4G and at least 2 bars, as shown in the example below.
If necessary, use an extension cord and place the antenna in an area covered by the 4G signal. An optional IP65 antenna can be supplied to place the antenna on the facade or in a cul-de-sac.
  4. Connect the Climkit gateway or the RS485-Ethernet converter to the RJ45 Ethernet port of the router. If using an Ethernet switch, connect the router directly to it.
Do not press the RESET button or open the device.
