Install the Climkit Gateway
This article describes the on-site installation of the Gateway. For the equipment to function, configuration on the Climkit platform is also required. Links are provided at the end of the document.
Climkit Gateway Installation
- Connect the 24V AC/DC power supply electric cable to the + and - ports of the device.
- Connect the Modbus meters RS485 bus to the A, B, and SG (for GND) ports of the device.
- Connect the Ethernet/RJ45 port (LAN) to the router.

- The device starts up in a few minutes and 4 LEDs on the front panel indicate the Gateway status:
- "Lightning" lit blue: the Gateway is correctly powered. It flashes during startup.
- Orange "Globe" indicates the connection status:
- fast flashing: the Gateway has started correctly but is not configured. It must be added to a site so that it can download its configuration, including the list of meters to read on site.
- slow flashing: the Gateway has started correctly but is not connected to the Internet. Check the router connection.
- continuously lit: the Gateway has started, is configured, and is connected to the Internet.
- "Tx" flashes: the Gateway is sending a reading command to a device, such as an electricity meter, connected to the RS485 bus.
- "Rx" flashes: the Gateway receives the requested information from the device. When the Gateway successfully reads a meter, Tx and Rx flash almost simultaneously.
