Climkit site setup process

Request for Quotation

Once the requirements are defined, submit a request for quotation to info@climkit.io.

To avoid subsequent additional costs, it is important to identify all necessary elements upfront based on the site's and the owner's requirements, notably:

  • the management solutions to be implemented,
  • the number and type of electricity meters,
  • the planned internet connection method.

If there are any doubts regarding the configuration to select or compatibility with an existing site, an upfront discussion with Climkit allows for validation of the planned connection diagram for the site and avoids later adjustments.

Climkit Quotation Structure

The quotation for a new Climkit site is divided by product category and type:

  • Gateway and connectivity
  • Electricity management
  • Electric vehicle charging station management
  • Thermal and water energy management
  • Collective laundry management
  • Electric bicycle charging management
Product Types
  • Technical equipment: devices to be installed on site, such as the Climkit Gateway, meters, or charging stations.
  • Software functionalities: functions activated on the Gateway and billed only according to the ordered solutions.
  • Supply and commissioning: services related to equipment preparation, technical coordination during installation, and commissioning.

It is recommended to consult the schematic diagrams for each solution considered to define the exact requirements before validating the quotation.

Place an Order

It is possible to place an order directly from the Platform after creating a new site. Even in this case, a confirmation request is sent to the requester before the equipment is shipped.

  1. Verify the quotation to ensure it precisely matches the defined requirements.
  2. Have the planned site connection diagram validated by Climkit, if necessary.
  3. Validate the quotation and specify the delivery address if it differs from the billing address.

The material is then delivered within 5 working days.

Add Equipment to the Platform

Upon receipt of the material, it is recommended to create the site on the Platform and add the equipment to it.

This preparation will facilitate commissioning by allowing direct verification of communication between the equipment and the Platform after their installation on site.

Install Equipment on Site

  1. Install the equipment in accordance with what was planned during the planning phase, following Climkit's instructions and manufacturers' specifications.
  2. Verify on the Platform that the equipment is communicating.
  3. Inform Climkit that the installation is complete to validate the technical setup.
  4. Transmit the site owner's contact details to Climkit for administrative setup.

Installer Responsibilities

The installer or the person installing the equipment is responsible for the following:

  • Installation planning based on the owner's specific requirements, providing for all necessary products and equipment.
  • Setting up a functional internet connection or installing a Climkit 4G router with mandatory verification of 4G signal quality if applicable.
  • Site creation and equipment addition on the Platform.
  • Installation and configuration of equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications and Climkit's instructions.
  • Commissioning of equipment in accordance with Climkit's specifications.
  • Labeling and assignment of meters and other equipment on the Platform to avoid errors during statement generation and billing.
  • Verification of communication between meters and equipment and the Platform.
  • Notification to Climkit of commissioning to allow verification and validation.
  • Transmission of the owner's complete contact details to Climkit for administrative setup and drafting of the management contract.

Climkit Support

Climkit is available throughout the project to answer technical questions, validate certain choices, or assist with commissioning if necessary. This progressive coordination secures the progress of the installation and limits end-of-project adjustments.

Once installation is complete and validated, Climkit handles the administrative setup with the owner, and then the site enters the operational phase.
