Install the 4G Router

This article describes the on-site installation of the 4G router. For the equipment to function, a configuration on the Climkit platform is also required. Links are provided at the end of the document.

On-site Router Installation

  1. Connect the antenna to the MOBILE connector of the router.
  2. Connect the router's power cable to the 24V AC/DC power supply and plug the black square plug into the POWER port of the device.
  3. After a few minutes, the router has finished booting up and four LEDs indicate the 4G signal strength. If no signal is acquired, the LEDs flash. They must indicate 4G and at least 2 bars as in the example below.
If necessary, arrange to run an extension cord and position the antenna in an area covered by the 4G signal. The complementary supply of an IP65 antenna allows the antenna to be placed on the facade or in a ditch.
  4. Connect the Climkit gateway or the RS485-Ethernet converter to the RJ45 Ethernet port of the router. If using an Ethernet switch, connect the router directly to it.
Do not press the RESET button or open the device.
