Install the 4G Router

Jean-Nicolas Turlier Updated by Jean-Nicolas Turlier

This article describes the on-site installation of the 4G Router. For the equipment to work, configuration on the Climkit platform is also required. Links are available at the end of the document.

On-site router installation

  1. Connect the antenna to the router's MOBILE connector.
  2. Connect the router's power cable to the 24V AC/DC power supply and plug the black square connector into the device's POWER port.
  3. After a few minutes, the router finishes starting up and four LEDs indicate the 4G signal strength. If no signal is detected, the LEDs flash. They must indicate 4G and at least 2 bars as shown in the example below.
If necessary, arrange to run an extension cable and place the antenna in an area covered by the 4G signal. Providing an additional IP65 antenna allows the antenna to be placed on a facade or in a light well.
  4. Connect the Climkit Gateway or the RS485-Ethernet converter to the router's RJ45 Ethernet port. If using an Ethernet switch, connect the router directly to it.
Do not press the RESET button or open the device.
