Install the 4G Router
This article describes the on-site installation of the 4G Router. For the Equipment to function, configuration on the Climkit Platform is also required. Links are available at the end of the document.
Installation of the router on site
- Connect the antenna to the MOBILE connector of the router.
- Connect the router’s power cable to the 24V AC/DC power supply and plug the square black plug into the POWER port of the device.
- After a few minutes, the router has finished booting and four LEDs indicate the 4G signal strength. If no signal is detected, the LEDs will flash. They must indicate 4G and at least 2 bars as in the example below.
If necessary, arrange for an extension cable and place the antenna in an area covered by the 4G signal. Providing an additional IP65 antenna allows placing the antenna on the facade or in a light well.
- Connect the Climkit Gateway or the RS485-Ethernet converter to the RJ45 Ethernet port of the router. If using an Ethernet switch, connect the router directly to it.
