Adding a router (4G or LAN)

This article describes the configuration of a router (4G or LAN) on the Climkit platform.

For connection planning, or for on-site device installation, please refer to the links at the end of the article.

Registering a router (4G or LAN) on the Climkit platform

All routers supplied by Climkit are preconfigured.

4G routers are supplied with an active SIM card.

This operation can be performed before or after installing the device.

  1. Log in to app.climkit.io and open the corresponding site. Create a new site if necessary.
  2. Navigate to EQUIPMENT > Communication > Routers. Click the "+" to add a new router.
  3. Enter the router's SERIAL number (serial number) and LAN MAC address (MAC address) in the form, then click Save.
The numbers are displayed on the packaging and on the device. They can also be obtained via the QR code.

Cloud Gateway configuration (MQTT)

When a router is added to a site, a virtual Cloud Gateway is automatically created under the "Gateways" Tab.

If electricity meters need to be read via the Cloud Gateway, simply add the meters directly to it.

Otherwise, if a Climkit Gateway is planned for use, refer to the procedure Adding the Climkit Gateway to the platform.
