2. Operation
The system consists of a combination of an RFID reader and one or more relay meters that measure the consumed energy while switching a load connected to an electrical socket on or off.
- The reader with a numeric keypad allows the user to select a socket to switch on.
- A user identifies themselves with a badge at the RFID reader and selects the number of the socket to switch on.
- If the badge is valid and the entered socket number exists, the corresponding relay closes, allowing the socket to be switched on.
- The transaction is then initiated, and the meter reading is taken automatically.
- The user can end the transaction by badging again and entering the socket number.
At this point, the meter is read one more time, and the energy consumed during the transaction is recorded in the user's account.
